# Getting discord bot token

To achive best performance you can add your own discord bot to your discord server to use discord slash commands and get notifications of events.

## - Create bot

[Click here ](https://discord.com/developers/applications) to login onto Discord Developrt Portal as you logged in press "New Aplication"

## - Turn on discord member intent

Click onto "Bot" section and scroll to Privileged Gateway Intents and turn on "Server Member" and "Message Content"

## - Getting discord bot token

Click "Reset Token" and get your discord bot token. Write it down somewhere.

## - Adding bot to discord server

Go to the Installation section and turn off User Install

Change bot permissions by scrolling down and choosing bot -> administrator

Copy link the discord gives you and install the bot by pasting it into any browser
